Wedding dresses hold a special place in every girl’s heart. It is not only about the cuts and designs but the emotional journey that it brings with itself. At Johnny’s Bridal, we have often pondered over the fact of how the wedding dress became so important in a woman’s life? After a lot of introspection, I have come to a definite clear conclusion. The wedding day may perhaps be the most important day in a woman’s life and she wants to make sure she looks completely out of this world. It is her day and she wants to make it a memorable and a life changing one. This wedding dress will define her in a way on that auspicious day and she does not want to take any chances.
I have often wondered about what can become the perfect wedding dress. Just saying that it is a gown is not enough. Several questions pop up in my mind. What is the color that I should be going for? What should be the ideal cut? I guess it all depends on the bride and what inspires me about her special day and wedding. Since it is her day, she should be making most of the decisions and giving us the direction for her dream wedding dress. On the other hand, as her designer, I look forward to guiding her to the fabrics, pieces and items that will flatter her the most.
It should be something that flatters her figure and accentuate her features. It should have the ability to hide all potential flaws, places of concern and make her look like a perfect woman in every sense. The material or the fabric of the wedding dress is also very important. It should be something that you feel comfortable in and is able to carry off with confidence and panache. Most of all, the dress should be timeless… It should be a piece of artwork that can be passed along through generations. Overall all the dress should be a time capsule of the feelings and memories she experienced in the last year before becoming a WIFE.
